Interview excerpt: Mary finds most people do not react to her standing in meetings or using a cushion for her back.
© Disability NarrativesI've got a special cushion that I take to some meetings. But no, I just - I just stand. Because I think - you know, let's face it, for most people in their forties or above, most people are going to have a problem with their backs at some time, aren't they. So I think I don't - I don't know how many people in college even know that I have a problem. I honestly don't know. But they would certainly know that maybe I've got a bad back, or something like that. So I just stand up. And I've just got used to that, and it's fine. Someone standing, it's nothing, is it.
