Interview excerpt: Although Mary found useful strategies to help her work, she did find they slowed her down.

Image representing Mary© Disability NarrativesSo the nature of my job is very flexible, because you decide your own timetable as a tutor, within certain constraints. So it wasn't difficult in terms of timetabling, but it was difficult in terms of just finding enough hours in the day. And the nature of the condition and needing lots of breaks, and needing a lot of movement is good in managing the condition, means that it eats into your day. And also I've been very reliant on reading things, via audio. And that is obviously a lot slower than reading things using the written word. So it's more just managing how long everything takes, as much as anything, I guess.
