Disability Narratives

Back to the Topic

Audio clip: Although the charity Maeve approached offered little to support her, she found it helpful to talk to the people she met at a meeting she attended.

I joined Epilepsy Action, some years ago. And I went to one of their conferences in London. And I found that quite helpful, to meet other people with the condition and talk about it. But, they're quite focused on children, and on people with a very severe form of the disability. So not really people who have kind of professional careers, and are managing it. So I don't find that a particularly helpful resource. I don't really know of anywhere actually that is a resource for kind of like - you know - professional people living with the condition. Yeah.
