Video clip: Tamsin's administrative time includes the various activities involved in being an editor on a journal.

But then more and more I do quite a lot of admin, administration in different ways, so sitting on committees, reading papers about the way in which Oxford is structured, or the way in which UK science is structured, or reviewing grants. I'm an editor on the Journal now as well, so that takes up a lot of my time. So, reading papers, reading reviewers comments, and making a decision about how we progress things, progress papers either towards not being published in my journal, or being published. So there's a lot of different aspects to it.
