Video clip: Amy's mentors have come from all walks of life and have supported her through difficult times.

So, I've mentioned a few of my mentors today from undergraduate tutors to PhD supervisor, rowing coaches, I must include my mum in that. We, those sort of four different types of mentors, if you like, have always instilled in me a sense that I can do anything and that's been extremely important. So, I'm quite a confident person but I know that, I know that we all have our wobbles and having them there unfailingly believing in me and my ideas and, sort of, my direction and helping me, sort of, steer myself in the right direction has been, well such an asset. I couldn't have got here without these people and, well I'm very thankful to them.
