Video clip: Eleanor has no idea what others are paid. It is hard for her to tell whether or not there is gender bias because the information isn’t publically available.

Oh what about pay? Do you think men and women in your field get equal pay now?

Do you know what I don’t know. And that’s the problem. I have no idea what anybody else gets paid. So you know why is that not more transparent? Why don’t, you know why don’t we know what the salaries are within the university? It’s very hard for me to tell whether there’s any gender bias because it’s not publicly available information.
